Can I Get An ‘Amen’ for Bible Studies at the White House? Apparently, Yes!

Some believe that an ‘spiritual awakening’ is taking place in the White House.

Men and women in President Donald Trump’s administration are sharing their faith and attending weekly Bible studies in the White House, something unheard of for many years.

The Capitol Ministries weekly Cabinet Bible study is being hailed as unique in that it’s the first of its kind in more than 100 years.

Two former Presidents, George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter also held weekly Bible studies during their administrations. However, Bush didn’t attend them and Carter didn’t hold them at the White House.

Trump on the other hand has been invited to attend the weekly studies and receives a copy of the teachings each week. Vice-President Mike Pence is also invited and plans to attend as his schedule permits.

Ralph Drollinger, President and Founder of Capitol Ministries, who is also a former NBA player is responsible for starting the weekly study of the gospel with the country’s top leadership.

Drollinger has “started Bible studies in 40 state capitols, a number of foreign capitols, teaches weekly studies in the U.S. House and Senate and now leads about a dozen members of President Trump’s Cabinet in weekly studies of the scriptures.”

Drollinger says about the White House Bible studies and those who attend:

“It’s the best Bible study that I’ve ever taught in my life. They are so teachable; they’re so noble; they’re so learned.”

Drollinger named those in Trump’s cabinet who are regularly present at the study, including, “Health Secretary Tom Price, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Agriculture Secretary Sunny Perdue, and CIA Director Mike Pompeo.”

U.S. Attorney Jeff Sessions also participates in the Bible study.

Drollinger said about Sessions:

“He’ll (Jeff Sessions) go out the same day I teach him something and I’ll see him do it on camera and I just think, ‘Wow, these guys are faithful, available and teachable and they’re at Bible study every week they’re in town.”

Perhaps Sessions’ attendance at these Bible studies has put God squarely on his side and spared his job, at least temporarily, following Trump’s public expression of disappointment in him recently. “…Time will tell. Time will tell.”

Drollinger shared his thoughts about Pence and Trump, as well.

According to Drollinger, Trump is invited to attend the Bible studies and receives a copy of Drollinger’s teachings each week.

He says Vice President Pence is also planning to join the study as his schedule permits. Pence also serves as a sponsor.

Drollinger sees many similarities to “biblical figures like Joseph, Mordecai and Daniel – all men who rose to the number two position in governments at different times in history” when it comes to describing Pence.

Drollinger recently said:

“Mike Pence has respect for the office. He dresses right – like it says Joseph cleaned himself up before he went to stand before the Pharaoh.

Mike Pence has uncompromising biblical tenacity and he has a loving tone about him that’s not just a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And then fourthly, he brings real value to the head of the nation.”

As you might expect, Drollinger, like others, compares Trump to the biblical strongman Samson.

Let’s face it. He has to be similar to Samson. Who else at age 71 can accomplish what this President does, fly around the world for important global meetings and seemingly never sleep? Where else could he get all of his energy, right?

Drollinger said about the Trump administration:

“I just praise God for them (referring to Trump’s administration). And I praise God for Mike Pence, who I think with Donald Trump chose great people to lead our nation.”

Can I get an Amen?

Clearly, as my co-host Bill Cloud recently said on our show God’s Views on Political News, “God has chosen President Trump as His man for this time.”

Many would agree and are glad to see that Trump has surrounded himself with godly men and women in his administration.

This is fantastic, at last the presence of God has been drawn to the White house. God never made a mistake appointing Donald Trump. America was gradually turning away from God and embracing immorality. At last we give thanks to God.
