CNN Host Uses Profanity to Name Call President Trump After London Attack But There’s More

CNN host Reza Aslan, an “Iranian-American author, public intellectual, religious studies scholar, producer, and television host” on CNN forgot about all of those credentials and stooped to name calling President Donald Trump following the recent London attack.

Aslan, who was reportedly “born into a Shia Muslim family, then converted to evangelical Christianity at age 15, then back to Islam the summer before he began attending Harvard,” holds a BA in religious studies, a Masters of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, a Masters of Fine Arts and a PhD in sociology of religions.

Apparently, putting aside any religious influence, at least momentarily, Aslan took to social media on Saturday and had this to say about Trump: “This piece of sh$t is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency. He’s an embarrassment to humankind.”

Aslan was upset at Trump’s earlier tweet following the London attack in which Trump said: “We need to be smart, vigilant and tough, We need the courts to give us back our rights. We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!”

Later, Aslan tweeted in reference to Trump’s prior tweet: “Translation: the president is a man baby that must be ignored in times of crisis.”

Late in the day on Sunday, Aslan deleted the tweet in which he used profanity and said: “When in the first few minutes of the terror attack in London, the President of the United States tweeted about his travel ban, I lost my cool and responded to him in a derogatory fashion. That’s not like me,” Aslan said in a statement. “I should have used better language to express my shock and frustration at the president’s lack of decorum and sympathy for the victims of London. I apologize for my choice of words.”

While he may have apologized, Aslan has also said some rather insulting things to other people and hasn’t apologized to them.

Perhaps his statements have gone unnoticed until now.

Republican Congressman Tim Walberg recently said about climate change that “God will take care” of climate change so humans don’t need to do anything different. This statement, seemed to send the left, including Aslan into a tail-spin.

Aslan, seemingly mocked Walberg’s statement and implied at least, a hope of ill will against Walberg from God.

Aslan said: “Any chance God could take care of Tim Walberg first?”

Seems like an odd statement coming from a religious scholar, doesn’t it?

He even took to lambasting NASA, calling them “nerds” and warning them to make Vice President Pence provide satisfactory answers (to Aslan’s liking?) on climate change and not allow Pence to use them as just a backdrop.

Once again making a reference to God, Aslan said:

“I swear to God if you nerds let him use you as prop and not ask him why he thinks the earth 6000 yrs old and climate change doesn’t exist…”

And finally, one of the more “professional” tweets came from Aslan a few days ago when he tweeted sarcastically about what Russian President Putin was saying he would do if Sweden joined NATO and what Putin would do to America, as well.

Aslan tweeted in regards to a Putin interview: “Translation: “I will piss on America the way I had prostitutes piss on your president and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it.”

Perhaps Aslan finds his comments “hilarious” and is just warming up to replace comedian Kathy Griffin on CNN’s New Year’s Eve program with Anderson Cooper now that Griffin’s failed “attempt at humor” got her fired?

In any event, it seems like CNN can really pick them.
