A horrific tragedy at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh occurred on Saturday, killing 11. Robert Bowers, 46, allegedly opened fire on those in attendance while making anti-Semitic statements during the shooting.
He had also apparently targeted Jews and criticized President Donald Trump on social media. Bowers has been charged with a number of federal offenses including hate crimes.
The Left wasted no time in using this disaster and others to further their agenda.
Immediately, following Saturday’s attack in the synagogue and the arrest of Cesar Sayoc, a man authorities say sent suspicious packages to 13 former and current Democratic political figures, the liberal Left began it’s assault on Trump as the “cause” for the violence.
This is so even though Sayoc’s attorney said that Sayoc had for years shown “a lack of comprehension of reality.”
The Left has claimed for approximately two years that Trump’s rhetoric is to blame for the violence in America (and maybe even throughout the world).
For many years now, the liberal Left and mainstream media have been trying to convince society that a person is not responsible for their own behavior.
Instead, according to them, it is always someone else’s fault that “made” an individual act as they did.
Conservatives on the other hand understand that you are responsible for your own actions unless of course, you are so mentally ill that you were unable to understand the severity of your behavior.
And, as usual, the Left seems to accuse conservatives of what they themselves are doing or espousing.
Take for example, several statements made by this President and his administration which could be seen as encouraging someone to commit violence:
“They bring a knife…we bring a gun.”
“I want you to argue with them and get in their face!”
“Hit back twice as hard.”
“I talk to these folks so I know whose a$$ to kick.”
“Punish our enemies.”
“I’m itching for a fight.”
Shame on President Trump for making these statements, right?
There’s only one problem. Former President Barack Obama made all of the above statements with the exception of one which was made by a high ranking official on his staff.
The statements were not made by Trump!
However, there was never any condemnation from the Left or MSM when Obama said those “spirited” words.
But the Left also decided to attack another member of the GOP this weekend.
Following the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting, billionaire donor to the Democratic Party, Tom Steyer took aim at California GOP Rep. Kevin McCarthy.
As Democratic Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel once said, never let a good crisis go to waste, and that’s exactly what Steyer did when he accused McCarthy on Sunday, a day after the synagogue shooting, of making an anti-Semitic statement toward him and two others.
Steyer was asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper about a tweet McCarthy posted then deleted before Saturday’s shooting.
“We can not allow Soros, Steyer, and Bloomberg to BUY this election! Get out and vote Republican November 6th. #MAGA”
Tapper, along with Steyer, immediately tried to accuse McCarthy of being anti-Semitic.
Tapper said about McCarthy’s tweet:
“I did notice that George Soros is Jewish, Michael Bloomberg is Jewish and you, you’re the third, your dad is Jewish. Do you think that’s a coincidence? What do you make of that?”
Steyer said that McCarthy’s statement:
“Was a straight up anti-Semitic move. I think that’s a classic attempt to separate Americans. I think that absolutely falls into the category that I’m describing as political violence. And, I think what we are looking for in America is something completely different from that.”
He went on to claim:
“And when people say there is loud language on both sides, I that that is absolutely false, Jake because what we’re seeing is terrible behavior consistent, systematic political violence from Republicans. And, when people stand up to it then they describe that as strong language on both sides.”
Odd. What stands out first and foremost about the three men are that they are Democrats, billionaires and donate tons of money to the Democratic Party.
McCarthy’s tweet merely acknowledges that fact.
But now, Democrats will once again politicize a terrible tragedy in order to silence the Right by accusing them of hate speech.
Watch for more Democrats to continue accusations of anti-Semitism and political violence against other prominent Republicans leading up to November 6.
