Feminist Camille Paglia is Now Defending Men Against Other Feminists?

How over the top has feminism, the MeToo movement and male bashing become lately? Ask Camille Paglia.

It’s apparently, so bad that a feminist has to come to the rescue.

Let me explain.

We saw recently in the Justice Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings that those in the MeToo movement want us to accept the fact that any person who claims to have been sexually assaulted must automatically be believed despite the absence of corroborating evidence.

Sexual assault is a horrible crime and the survivors of sexual assault deserve to be heard.

However, according to the U.S. Constitution and due process, anyone who is accused of a crime is innocent until proven guilty.

And, unfortunately, even when due process is followed, many men accused of sexual assault are in prison today for a crime they didn’t commit.

But none of this seems to be a problem for those in the movement.

We saw with Kavanaugh that unless you are willing to put aside due process in favor of supporting an accuser who has no proof then you will reap the wrath of feminism.

But one of the original feminists from the women’s movement, Camille Paglia, says today’s feminist movement needs to stop bashing men.

She claims that second-wave feminism as she calls it, attempts to destroy men and is also destroying women and our culture in the process.

According to Paglia, this new wave of feminism is based on “denigrating men” and “defining men as oppressors and tyrants through history.”

She says original feminists “admired what men had done and there was no male-bashing” which she says has become systemic to second-wave feminism.

She continued:

“The brand of feminism recreated by Betty Friedan in the 1960s is now based on “denigrating men” and “defining men as oppressors and tyrants through history.”

It is an absolute lie,” “an extrapolation of neuroticism on the part of these fanatics.”

She also describes today’s feminism as “an absolute poison that has spread worldwide.”

Who thought we’d ever see a feminist defending men against other feminists?
