FISA Application ‘Bombshell’ Will Be Buried by Dems and MSM

On Saturday, The New York Times and other liberal sites quietly broke the bombshell news that many Republicans have suspected all along.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) application seeking to wiretap Carter Page, a former campaign adviser for the Trump administration, was released to the NYT and other organizations that filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits.

The contents of the application contradict what Democrats have been claiming about what iinformation was reported to the FISA court in order to procure a surveillance warrant.

Visible portions of the released documents revealed the following:

That the F.B.I. told the intelligence court that Mr. Page “has established relationships with Russian government officials, including Russian intelligence officers”; that the bureau believed “the Russian government’s efforts are being coordinated with Page and perhaps other individuals associated with” Mr. Trump’s campaign; and that Mr. Page “has been collaborating and conspiring with the Russian government.”

Although you wouldn’t necessarily deem it from reading the NYT article, the heavily redacted FISA application refers to Christopher Steele as Source #1.

Source #1 is described as someone whose “reporting was corroborated and used in criminal proceedings and the FBI assesses Source #1 to be reliable.”

Further, the court documents indicate that Source #1 has been compensated (redacted info blacked out) by the FBI and the FBI is unaware of any derogatory information pertaining to Source #1.”

The application continues to describe how “Source #1 was hired by a U.S. based law firm to conduct research.”

The FISA application fails to mention Christopher Steele by name, the Perkins Coie lawfirm or Marc Elias, the lawyer from the same law firm who was later named as the person who hired Fusion GPS to conduct the research.

Fusion GPS then hired Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer to write a dossier that was at best flawed and unreliable. The dossier was later given to the FBI.

Nor does the FISA application reveal the involvement of the DNC or the Hillary Clinton campaign in the “research” which the application states was funded to damage “Candidate 1” who is President Donald Trump.

Many took to Twitter, including Trump with much to say about the revelations Democrats have denied all along were in or omitted from the FISA application.

Trump congratulated Judicial Watch on a job well done and pointed out the Democrat “scam” when he tweeted:

“Congratulations to and on being successful in getting the Carter Page FISA documents. As usual they are ridiculously heavily redacted but confirm with little doubt that the Department of “Justice” and FBI misled the courts. Witch Hunt Rigged, a Scam!”

Next, Trump called out “Crooked Hillary” and the DNC for their alleged spying on the Trump campaign by tweeting:

“Looking more & more like the Trump Campaign for President was illegally being spied upon (surveillance) for the political gain of Crooked Hillary Clinton and the DNC. Ask her how that worked out – she did better with Crazy Bernie. Republicans must get tough now. An illegal Scam!”

Former Secret Service agent and talk show host, Dan Bongino singled out CNN for their fake news and what would now happen after the release of the FISA application:

“What is CNN going to do now that their Russian collusion hoax has entirely collapsed & blown up in their faces? They should issue a network retraction and retract CNN from the airwaves. It’s the only way.

Bongino was only getting started.

Later in the day he tweeted:

“Now that the FISA application has been been released we know the following: -The Russian collusion fairytale is a complete hoax -Hillary’s team paid for the hoax -The court was lied to about the hoax -The media was in on the hoax -Democrats are all-in on the police state

Former CIA analyst and talk show host Buck Sexton weighed in on the absurdity of thinking Page was a “national security threat”, Sexton tweeted:

“Honestly, having spoken plenty to Carter Page about his ordeal, and looking at him from my intelligence analyst background: The idea that Carter Page was enough of a national security threat to justify all this surveillance is just delusional”

But don’t worry. Tomorrow will be business as usual for Democrats.

The FISA application will be talked about as a “nothing burger” rather than the “bombshell” that it is and Robert Mueller, special counsel will continue his “witch hunt.”

Republicans MUST call for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate all information that has been uncovered, not only in the FISA application but regarding this Democrat-initiated attempt to bring down a sitting President.
