Just when you think liberal Left Democrats can’t sink any lower, along comes Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes who could be running for the state’s governorship in 2019. Reportedly, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky) became the focus of Grimes inappropriate joke on Friday.
An Associated Press reporter, Adam Beam heard Grimes reference Paul while speaking at a Kentucky Fancy Farm Picnic, an event where the state’s candidates for office typically begin their campaigns for election.
Beam tweeted what Grimes said about Paul:
“Alison Lundergan Grimes on Rand Paul: ‘Just ask his neighbor. He can be beaten.’”

Paul’s chief strategist Doug Stafford, immediately fired back, citing Grimes’ failed 2014 run for Senate against Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky).
Stafford said: “That’s almost as sad and pathetic as her last campaign. Mitch beat her so bad he almost got charged with a hate crime.”
Stafford may have felt he needed to respond since Paul is busy preparing for a trip to Russia as part of President Donald Trump’s plan in “engaging around the world,” according to a spokeswoman.
Grimes also made a joke about Paul’s trip to Russia, keeping in harmony with the Democrats’ “all things Russia” agenda.
Grimes quipped that Paul was going to Russia because he was “looking for a campaign manager,” no doubt a reference to Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort who is currently on trial for bank fraud in connection with work that he did in Russia and the Ukraine over a decade ago.
It’s unimaginable that anyone, let alone the Secretary of State of Kentucky could be as unprofessional and flippant toward another person (in this case a fellow political colleague) who suffered physical injury during an attack on his body.
What was Grimes thinking?
Did she think it was amusing when former U.S. Representative Gabby Giffords (D-Az) was shot along with others during a constituent meeting in 2011?
Was it humorous to Grimes when House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La) and others were shot in 2017 while practicing for a Congressional baseball game?
Do we give too much credit to those who run for political office believing that they would never stoop so low as to joke about a physical attack on another politician?
Where’s the outrage? Why aren’t there calls for Grimes to step down?
Many on Twitter were quick to voice their opinion about what Grimes said, however.
This is why #walkaway exists. The Democrats are off the rail.

Are Democrats so short-sighted and living in Fantasyland that they think their radical comments will not be important on Election Day in November!? Backlash against Democrats on November 6th almost guaranteed 🙂

Imagine a Republican politician joking about a Democrat being attacked. The Republican would be gone the next day following the creation of a petition for their removal from office.
However, it appears that if you are a Democrat you have permission to put your “stupidity,” lack of professionalism and “sick humor” on public display with no worries that there will be any negative consequences.
