The liberal mainstream media (MSM) and liberal politicians in general, continually attempt to dream up new ways to “retaliate” against President Donald Trump for calling them out on their fake news and political game playing.
When that fails to produce intended results, they attack White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.
First, MSM and Democrats tried the “he’s not mentally stable” argument to cast doubt upon Trump’s ability to lead.
During the summer and into early fall, MSM and the Congressional Democrats went “wild” with their theories that Trump was mentally unstable and unfit to be President.
The Washington Post cited article after article questioning Trump’s mental status.
“I think he’s crazy,” Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.) confided to his colleague Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) in a July exchange inadvertently caught on a microphone. (“I’m worried,” she replied.)
CNN’s Don Lemon, flabbergasted after a Trump speech last month, concluded that “he’s unhinged. . . . There was no sanity there.” Even some Republicans have grown more blunt, with Sen. Bob Corker (Tenn.) recently suggesting that Trump “has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence” to succeed as president.”
Individuals like Rep. Adam Schiff, the Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee said that “There are some serious issues” concerning Trump’s mental fitness and that “the pressures of the job may only get worse.”
Schiff and others on the Left led the call to invoke the 25th Amendment which authorizes the Vice President and Cabinet to remove Trump if he is deemed unable to serve.
When mental issue accusations didn’t yield a quick removal from office, the Left decided to pursue another course of action.
On Monday, while the conservative networks were concentrating on the NYC bombing suspect and his premature attempt at successfully detonating a low grade bomb that was strapped to his body, CNN and MSNBC set their sights on a “higher” cause, Trump’s physical health.
CNN’s anchor Alisyn Camerota felt the need to discuss a recent New York Times article blasting Trump for drinking a “dozen diet cokes each day,” with author Michael D’ Antonio during her morning segment.
Trying to sound like two physicians called upon to critique a case of national importance, the interview went as follows:
“This is not, okay, what doctors would recommend!” anchor Alisyn Camerota exclaimed about the diet coke.
“The thing that would concern me more is this consistent consumption of fats and sugars and all sorts of stuff that’s bad for you,” D’Antonio argued. “Any physician would tell you that’s a recipe for problems.”
Someone remind me where they got their medical degrees or even their information. More #fakenews?
Later in the day, CNN bore down on their “Trump may have physical problems” agenda by calling on their “expert” Susan Swithers, a professor of psychological sciences at Purdue University College of Health and Human Sciences
Wait! Where is the medical doctor to render an opinion?
“Looking at long-term studies in humans, the results indicate that people who report drinking artificially sweetened beverages end up at higher risk than non-diet soda drinkers for lots of negative outcomes, including type 2 diabetes, hypertension and stroke, as well as dementia.”
Most likely the reason CNN wanted a “psychological sciences” professor is to lay additional groundwork for their mental health claim of “dementia.”
In November, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough of the “Morning Joe” said: “That people close to him say is mentally unfit, that people close to him during the campaign told me had early stages of dementia.”
And what about all of the TV watching. Couldn’t that potentially cause some physical problems and even mental health issues?
According to the “doctor,” I mean MSNBC contributor Nick Confessore, Trump watches four hours of TV on a daily basis.
The NYT has also said that Trump watches hours of cable news programming daily, a claim that Trump vehemently denies.
Trump tweeted in response:
Another false story, this time in the Failing @nytimes, that I watch 4-8 hours of television a day – Wrong! Also, I seldom, if ever, watch CNN or MSNBC, both of which I consider Fake News. I never watch Don Lemon, who I once called the “dumbest man on television!” Bad Reporting.

So, what happens when all else fails and Trump is still the President? The liberal Left attacks the White House Press Secretary instead.
Monday’s White House press briefing hit an all-time low for even MSM when a CNN reporter, Brian Karem, who didn’t like Sander’s responses to other reporters regarding sexual harassment allegations against Trump, unprofessionally directed his questions to Sanders on a personal level.
“As a woman standing up there talking to us, I know your job is to relate what the president says, have you ever been sexually harassed and do you understand — and I’m not saying by the president — I’m saying ever. And secondly, do you have any empathy for those who come forward? Because it’s very difficult.”
Sanders responded by saying:
“I absolutely would say that I have an empathy for any individual who has been sexually harassed, and that certainly would be the policy of the White House. I’m not here to speak about my personal experience on that front, but I’m here to relay information on behalf of the president.”
Perhaps it was good that Sanders reminded Karem that it was a press briefing and not a social function by letting him know that she relays information for the White House and wasn’t there to answer questions about her personal experience.
