Who says that one person can’t make a difference or that a small group of diverse individuals can’t bring about a change? If you want to be inspired, then meet an assembly of patriots from California who are traveling from city to city to oppose Governor Jerry Brown’s “sanctuary city” law.
This pro-American, pro-Trump, anti-sanctuary city group of about 20 people from a variety of backgrounds and races, put aside any differences they may have to come together as AMERICANS first in support of the laws of this country under the U.S. Constitution.
It comes as no surprise then that the Democratic leadership of California and pro-immigrant groups on the Left may not approve of the group of volunteers’ activism.
However, those in the group don’t allow themselves to be deterred from their mission to uphold the laws of this nation.
Democratic State Sen. Kevin de Leon is one who doesn’t appreciate the group’s efforts or the attempts by others to end “sanctuary city” laws.
“What’s happening in a handful of Southern California cities is really disheartening,” said de León, who is running for U.S. Senate.
He has his own personal reasons for wanting sanctuary city laws to continue.
De Leon said publicly last year, referring to an executive order signed by President Trump which pertained to the enforcement of immigration laws:
“Half of my family would be eligible for deportation under the executive order, because they got a false social security card, they got a false identification, they got a false driver’s license prior to us passing AB 60, they got a false green card, and anyone who has family members who are undocumented knows that almost entirely everybody has secured some sort of false identification.
That’s what you need to survive, to work. They are eligible for massive deportation.”
One Huntington Beach resident referred to the group as the “The Hate Circus.”
Huntington Beach, however, is one of the cities that recently decided to join with other California cities to exempt itself from the law and sue California.
While more and more cities are joining in the Trump administration’s lawsuit against the Golden state over its sanctuary city law, Santa Clarita has become the latest to declare that they don’t want to be associated with Brown’s sanctuary law.
Late Tuesday evening, Santa Clarita became the first city in Los Angeles County, a heavily populated Democrat stronghold, to officially declare with a vote of 5-0, that they will be challenging the sanctuary law, as well.
Reports indicate that approximately 200 people attended the meeting Tuesday night with many wearing red “Make America Great Again” caps.
One of those who spoke at the meeting was Genevieve Peters from the small group of volunteer patriots.
The short video of Peter’s speech before the city council was posted on Twitter, May 8 by @neuro7plastic and had garnered more than 29,000 views at the time of this writing.
Listen as Peters explains to the city council why a no “sanctuary city” vote is vital not only for California but to the rest of the country.

So, next time you find yourself disheartened by those in California because you believe they are all left-wing progressive Democrats, remember the patriots whose pro-Republican voices are actively speaking out against “sanctuary city” laws and are being heard!
