Let’s all stop and have a moment of silence for the children, I mean mature adults at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh for the “atrocity” they may have to face.
To be fair, it’s not all students who may be subjected to this “unseemly horror” but a particular group who needs your help.
Shockingly, not really, the student body requested that a Chick-fil-A restaurant be opened on their campus much to the chagrin of a gay student group.
Lambda executive board member Niko Martini told the Catholic school’s newspaper the following:
“Chick-fil-A has a questionable history on civil rights and human rights.
I think it’s imperative the university chooses to do business with organizations that coincide with the university’s mission and expectations they give students regarding diversity and inclusion.”
Citing no proof as to how the restaurant violated anyone’s rights, Lambda President Rachel Coury issued her own statement:
“I’ve tried very hard within the last semester and a half to promote this safe environment for the LGBTQ+ community. So I fear that with the Chick-fil-A being in Options that maybe people will feel that safe place is at risk.”
Hmm. I guess it wouldn’t be safe for some who may overindulge in Chick-fil-A’s great chicken sandwiches. Is that what she’s talking about?
“It would be a really big deal for Lambda and the whole LGBTQ community on campus if someone could make a statement to eliminate the fear of being marginalized by having this business on campus.”
Chick-fil-A responded by saying:
“Everyone is welcome in our restaurants.”
The audacity! They actually said that? How could they? Oh wait. They aren’t marginalizing anyone.
Apparently, Donald Trump, Jr. couldn’t help but display some sarcasm for all of the “crying” that was taking place over a restaurant that serves great chicken sandwiches to everyone who places an order.
Trump Jr. took to Twitter and responded to the “snowflakes” at the school who just couldn’t bear the thoughts that chicken “would be sold to anyone, at the same price and at a convenient location.” My thoughts not his.

Hopefully, the university will be able to resolve such a “dire” situation.
Someone has to help! #sarcasm
